Kiran Mazumdar Shaw

The wealthiest self-made women in India, Kiran found a biopharmaceutical firm in 1978. It entered in US biosimilar market and got into the eyes of others. The company got approval from USFDA as per Forbes. It was named the R&D- based biotech firm. She was called the 54th richest women in India in 2019 and 65th most powerful women in the world. She did her bachelors from Bangalore and masters from Melbourne University.

Ritu Kumar

An Indian fashion designer by origin, her career began in Kolkata. She made bridal clothes initially but after a few years, her mode of operation was from several different cities like that of France and New York. Government of India awarded her Padma Shree in 2013 for her tremendous hard work and creation with passion. She perused in Art history in New York through a scholarship at Briarcliff College.

Vandana Luthra

She is not only an Indian businesswoman but also the founder and chairperson of the Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC). She started VLCC in 1989 as her own created venture and initially it was a beauty and slimming service center. Later it added services such as full-body laser, grooming, hair building and so on. She was awarded Padma Shree by our government in 2013 for her achievement in the field of Beauty and Wellness. She is also running an NGO named Khusii now and offers free scholarship to the underprivileged children of our society.

Priya Paul

The chairperson of Park hotel and an Indian by origin, Priya does her studies from Wellesley College in the US. Being the chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels was a life-changing event in her life. She started a career as a marketing manager under her father. By 51 years of age, she has achieved the title of the most influential and powerful women. Former Indian president Pratibha Patil awarded her Padma Shree in 2012.

Suchi Mukherjee

She is the founder of Limeroad in 2012, an online clothing and lifestyle accessories marketplace. Today, Limeroad is India’s most stylish online shopping website for both men and women. She studied from Economic School of London. To complete her masters. She received wards like Coolest Start-up of the year, Infocom Women of the year- Digital Business and Unicorn Start-up Award (NDTV).

Aditi Gupta

She is the author and founder of Menstrupedia and created a comic book with her husband to illustrate and educate girls about the facts of menstruation. The website of menstrupedia.com was created later and in 2014 this company became a partner with Whisper India for their school contact program and presented ‘touch the Pickle’. Menstrupedia comics are used by schools like Bright English School Ahmedabad, GIS Primary school, Ecole Mondiale World School, etc.

Indra Nooyi

The former CEO of PepsiCo and also the member in Amazon’s board of directors, Indra completed her masters from Yale School of Management. She was also a product manager of Johnson and Johnson. She was a strategic consultant in Boston Consulting Group. In 1994, PepsiCo was formed under her and she led it as it’s from 2006 to 2018. In 2019, she got into Amazon board and held the title of 11th most powerful women in the world as per Forbes.

Falguni Nayar

She was an investment banker for 20 years with Kotak Mahindra and went to pursue her own dream company Nykaa that sold online cosmetics and beauty wellness products. It is a very famous company today across India and abroad. It has more than 850 brands and has opened up 35 physical stores. She got the title of ‘World’s Most Powerful Women’ in 2017 and received ‘Woman Ahead’ award at the Economic Times. She has tied up with Femina since 2014.

Radhika Ghai

Being equipped with more than 15 years of experience in marketing in several industries like fashion, advertising, lifestyle, public relations and so on, she is also the founder of Shopclue.com. The company was founded in Silicon Valley in 2011. Current it is India’s largest e-commerce business and marketplace with over 7 million visitors per month. It serves in more than 9 thousand cities. She is an innovative tech women entrepreneurs in India.

Vani Kola

Vani is a venture capitalist and the founder and MD of Kaalari Capital. Doing masters from the Arizona State of University, she founded Rightwork and Certus Software during her 22 years in Silicon Valley. After returning to India in 2006, her career as a venture capitalist began and she made a partnership with NEA. Today Kalaari Capital operates with a 150- million fund. She received the TiE Delhi-NCR 5th Edition of Women Entrepreneurship in 2018.
